What is the Chug Club?

We are 5 couples in the Suburbs of Indianapolis who have recently gotten into homebrewing our own beer. We get together once every couple of months to try each other's beers and just hang out.

Ladies-if we want smaller glasses, I thought we might be able to use these Champagne glasses from Crate and Barrel. I thought they looked classy....http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=140&f=24413
We could choose to etch them ourselves (which is EASY) or not!

Chug Club has Commenced!

The first chug club was a HUGE success!! Below is a picture of the 5 men inducted during this chug club.Below is a picture of the inducted women of chug club.It was decided that straws will be drawn at the beginning of each Chug Club to decide who will kick off the night by chugging a beer. Guy drew the LONGEST straw....and he managed to chug his beer in 6.5 seconds. We'll see at the next club meeting just how good this time really is!

Beers at this month's chug club were drank in the following order:
Tony - Belgian Ale
Guy - English Ale with added honey and cinnamon
Chris - English Ale
Steve - American Light Ale
Tim - Shinee Diamond Christmas Ale

Tim gets the creativity award for the month, with some very schwanky labels.
With 10 people tasting the beers....we went through quite a lot of bottles! With homebrewing and bottling, people tend to use 22 ounce bottles! And what night is complete without a good cigar?
Check out the poll to vote for your favorite beer. Also, let us know which recipe(s) you want. We'll post them so you can enjoy them yourself!
